Map of Eterlace

A beautiful land with a huge range of climates, stuck in an equivalent to the medieval/feudal era of our world. Though some more modern aspects made it through the Downfall…

About Each Nation

Hyukai

Language: Japanese | National Flower: Camellia | Democracy

Hyukai is the home of the indigenous Hyukese. It’s a cold and wet country known for beautiful scenery, military might and artistic prowess. Back in the Imperial Era, the Hyukese had control of the whole mainland, but post Downfall, this is what they have left. They’re a resilient, spiritual people with an intimidating quiet ferocity.

Salfjordurvik

Language: Norwegian | National Flower: Snowdrop | Theocracy

Salfjordurvik is the home of the proud Salfjordivans. It’s an extremely cold nation, and much of the north is uninhabitable. Originally, the Salfjordivans wanted the land south of their current border, up to the border of Basanne, but this was heavily objected to during The Partition.

Hireath

Language: English | National Flower: Bluebell | Democracy

Hireath is the home of the dour Hireatheans. It’s a very wet nation with striking, much taller cliffs than other nations. The Hireatheans named their land after the lingering grief they felt of no longer being able to return to their indigenous land, not that anyone who named it had ever lived there.

Lyera

Languages: English, German (Dead) | National Flower: Tulip | Monarchy

Lyera is home to the proud Lyerans. Because it’s so big, the climate is very varied, with the north being cool and wet and the south warm and windy. The Lyerans tried to take the whole continent from Hyukai in the Downfall, but King Rhoam I was so hated by then that they had to settle for what they have now. His descendants have not proven to be popular, though Lyera’s sheer population and economic might gives them sway.

Kayna

Language: Hindi | National Flower: Lotus | Dictatorship

Kayna is home to the enigmatic Kaynans. Their archipelago is hot, humid and windy. The Kaynans are indigenous to the islands and have never attempted to claim any of the mainland, though they did briefly fight alongside Hyukai in the Downfall.

Sylayi

Language: Malay | National Flower: Hibiscus | Dictatorship

Sylayi is home to the stoic Sylayans. Sylayi is the hottest nation on the continent, known for extreme humidity. It’s the end result of several schisms during the Downfall, meaning they’ve never had strong allies.

Malassau

Languages: English, French (Rare), Arabic (Rare, South) | National Flower: Penstemon | Monarchy

Malassau is home to the boisterous Malassauns. Malassau is often thought of as a desert nation, though the northern most areas are home to tropical rainforests. The nation was founded after Livaer betrayed King Rhoam I, using stolen riches. Since the Downfall, Malassau has endured two civil wars, once to abolish the monarchy and the other to reinstate it.

Quiyen-Xuong

Language: Vietnamese | National Flower: Sunflower | Democracy

Quiyen-Xuong is home to the indigenous people who betrayed the Hyukese Empire and formed their own distinct identity with the help of Livaer. Quiyen-Xuong is a hot and windy nation, and one of the only mainland nations with beaches.

Amoricci

Language: Italian | National Flower: Crocus | Democracy

Amoricci is home of the apathetic Amoriccians. The whole nation is warm, bordering on tropical in the far south, and windy. Amoricci formed after separating their cause from the Hireatheans’ during the Downfall.

Basanne

Language: German | National Flower: Buttercup | Dictatorship

Basanne is home to the stoic Basannese. The nation sits on the central mesa of Eterlace, making it the only landlocked country. Very little is known about Basanne due to their extremely isolationist stance.

The Neutral Zone

The neutral zone is not a nation in and of itself. There is no system of government, law, or any form of public sector.

This land was set aside during The Partition in an effort to prevent wars. It was, effectively, the land no one claimed along with land that was deemed too contentious to be claimed.

Safe to say, no one is pleased with how large the neutral zone is.
