Jade Black is my pen and artist name.
I am a British artist, writer, composer and game developer based in England.
Since February 2024 I have been Shadow Spark Publishing’s Marketing Lead. I was promoted after my work as Lead Graphic Designer for the 2024 New Year’s Sale, which resulted in 151 sales in two days. I joined Shadow Spark in August 2023 after winning their international pitch contest #SparkPit, my trailer for Mister Nakagami resulted in me getting a full manuscript request on day one of the month long event. Shadow Spark are publishing the entirety of my compendium The Determined Ones starting in May 2025. A preview to the The Determined Ones, Count the Stars, will be available in June 2024 in Cozyish, Shadow Spark’s 2024 Anthology.
I have worked in graphic design for 10 years, music composition for 10 years, digital art for 7 years and music for screen for 5 years.
I have spent the past three years at The University of Hull studying Games Design. I will be graduating this summer, with a predicted first class degree. You can see a showreel of my university work, including extra-curricular work, below.

If you use generative AI at ANY stage of your project(s), I will not work with you.
My work is not to be used to train ANY generative AI in any way.
My work is not to be used in any way for NFTs.
Rude and/or abusive and/or entitled behaviour will not be tolerated.
If you break one or multiple of these terms, you may be faced with legal action. I reserve the right to abandon commission projects at any point should terms of service be broken.
Turnaround times for commissions will vary depending on complexity and waitlist. Inquire for details. Progress sketches/renders/mixes/etc will be sent as relevant.
You can choose to either pay the full commission price upfront, or pay a deposit and we can work out a payment plan. Generally speaking deposits will be 50%, but this is negotiable within reason.
I am willing to discuss violent content. I do not do nudity or sexual content. This may include clothing designs. If you are unsure where the line is between romantic and sexual content, please get in touch.
